Format: 4 ball best ball

Rossdale was the venue for game 2 of the season. Big thanks to Sutho for sorting this out for us, even though he couldn’t get the tee-off time right. Course was in good nick and the format of the day was 4 ball best ball. All the talk leading up was of the new propeller hats, donated by Paul, which would be worn for the first time by last month’s NAGA recipients Snappy Tom and Tim, with Winker and Stevie K missing for the day, (hats on hold for they two).

Looking good lads!

The form book was spot on for this one with hometown favourite Spoon and his over-handicapped team of Mitch, Hughesy and Biggsy easing home with a comfortable 5 under the card, net 56.

However it was karma that would play its biggest part on the day with the team led by ‘Propeller’ Paul who would finish a distant 9.875 shots of the leaders, a new MGC record, with a net score of 65.875.

Nearest the pins went to Deeks, Mitch, Spoon and Joe.

The handicappers couldn’t wait for this one and cut the winning captain Spoon 1 shot from 10 into 9, with the rest of the team cut 2 shots each, Biggsy 30 to 28, Mitch 20 to 18 and Hughesy 28 to 26.
