This month saw the club venturing onto the pastures of Devilbend after a lengthy lay-off due to the inclement weather at Flinders last month.
With a few no shows and a late arrival a quick shuffle of the teams had to be made.
The day’s format was a team event with a combination of all four stableford scores.
It was one of the re-shuffled groups who benefited from the non appearance of Robbie who picked up big Rab in the mornings draft and proceeded to don the jackets at presentation, with a total score of 132 points.
Mitch, Snappy Tom and Tich (missing Rab)
At the other end of the presentation scale it was mentioned that another of the teams didn’t benefit from the non appearance of Billy Mac and so picked up the NAGA, with a total of 99 points.
Deeks, Tim and Barra (missing Andy Mac) – still in the trees
Andy Mac was later met by a logging protest as he left the course due to the amount of trees he felled in 4 hours.
Special mention must be made of Jimmy and Hughie’s highest scores of the day, each with 39 points. Another exhibition that can’t go by without mention was big Tam’s front nine with a grand tally of 3 points.
A reminder to all members if they cannot make a game to contact the organisers as early as possible so they can try to find a replacement, it is especially frustrating for team events when people don’t turn up.
Also if we could make an effort to come back to the club if only for the presentations would be much appreciated.
Congratulations to Damien and Anna on the birth of their daughter recently.
Merry Christmas to all our members and their families and to the wonderful ladies in the kitchen who put on a fantastic Christmas dinner for us (even without the trifle).
