The second outing of the season saw the lads at Carrington Park, with grey skies and windy conditions it was good to see everyone making the effort and turning up on time.
News that the greens had been cored and sanded midweek seemed to have the effect of high scoring throughout the club, possibly due to the ball sticking on approach.
Due to the absence of Stevie Gray who fell ill overnight we sent out Alex, Tim and Baby Koala first as a group of 3. As it turned out the rest of the club may as well of stayed home as Baby Koala proceeded to rape the course and come home with an outrageous 45 stableford points, this being more than enough to don the Tweed for the first singles event of the season.
At the other end of the awards the dreaded NAGA was ‘won’ by one of last months champions Alan, quite a fall from grace to say the least.
The prizes were then given out to the ‘nearest the pin’ and ‘longest drive’ winners who were;
3rd hole – Mitch, 6th hole – Alex, 11th hole – Gav, 17th hole – Baby Koala
18th hole ‘longest drive’ – Damien
A special mention to Alan Anderson who continually donates these prizes, much appreciated.
