Format; Ambrose pairs (9 drives each)
A much anticipated return to Rosebud Country Club after an 11 year hiatus. The course was in superb condition with the speed of the greens testing the members to the full. Weather was spot on for an autumn outing.
Format for the day was a pair’s comp with both players needing 9 drives each. The teams seem to navigate their way through the issue with the drives quite well and it was all down to the scoring. With 2 teams to each group the natural turn of events would see the day manifest itself into 4 different Matchplay events. Each of these ‘matchplay’ games were extremely tight with only 0.25 to 1.75 separating each group. But it wasn’t Matchplay that mattered, and coming out on top with a net score of 68.5 was the team in fancy dress Paul and Tich.
In group 2 Red and Winker just managed to edge out Mitch and Clayton by 0.25, to send the latter to the kennel to pick up the dog for the month, lodging a net score of 75.25.
Nearest the pins for the day went to Christophe (4th), Red (8th), Biggsy (12th), Ryan (14th).
Handicap adjustments going into the final round were as follows; Paul 14 to 13, Tich 28 to 27, Mitch 23 to 24 and Clayton 36 to 37.

The final game of the season at the divot will be an all action day, with much to compete for. The final of the Knockout Cup, The Animalia Cup, Player of the Year, NAGA of the Year and the much anticipated MGC Gift.
