MORACK

Sunday, 12TH  February, 2017

Format: Matchplay/stableford

February outing would have the club try out a new course in the shape of Morack. The weather had taken a bit of a turn with showers forecast, however, this proved to be not too bad in the end.

Matchplay semi-finals were at stake with Joe playing Colin and Barra and Taffy also going head to head.

Joe and Colin played out a very tight contest with no more than a hole in it throughout the day, the result ending in a draw, with Joe winning with a higher stableford score 28 to 27. In the other tie Taffy shot to an early 3 hole lead in the first four holes and Barra did little to threaten this as the round developed. Taffy went on to win 4 and 3 to advance to the final where he’ll play Joe at the Divot on the last game of the season.

23 would play the stableford match following a late scratching from Deeks. Koala was the one who adapted best to the new course with a score of 39 points to be wearing the jacket back at the club. Also picking up some prov1s and a polo shirt for his troubles.IMG_1431

One of the bookies pre-match favourites would not disappoint the punters as Tim would bring home the last group to sew up the NAGA trophy with a mere 24 points.IMG_1428
