Opening day of the season, glorious sunshine and Sandringham was the venue.
Talk of the day was all about the inflated handicaps dished out at the pre-season meeting and beneficial this proved to be with 4 members scoring 38 points. Spoon, however, would emerge victorious on a countback to don the jacket for the first day out. Scoring a swag of prizes including some pro v 1s, and a Callaway shirt.

At the other end of the scale big Kev managed to sew up the NAGA of the day comfortably with a poor score of 20 points.

Nearest the pins went to Hughesy 3rd 7th, Spoon 10th, Paul 13th and Red 15th pro v 1s all round.
Handicap time; with Joe absent it was left to Shug to take the mantle and solely administer the cuts for the day.
Spoon was cut from 14 to 12, Koala cut from 36 to 35, Red cut from 30 to 29, Sam cut from 26 to 25 and Deeks cut from 18 to 17.
