Format: Stableford

Final day of the season and it was the shortest of trips to the Divot. Not the best in terms of weather with the intermittent rain broken up with a wee bit sunshine making it more than bearable.

It was all to play for today, ‘player of the year’, ‘NAGA of the year’, along with the usual monthly awards and the season ending ‘annual Hughesy surprises’.

Calm nerves were what was needed on days like this and failing to deliver on that front was Tich who polled 21 points for his day’s efforts. This was enough to secure NAGA of the day and be the recipient of this year’s wildlife prize, a chicken.

Winners are what it’s all about though and Bob would come up trumps to don the jacket with a scorecard reading of 41 points.

Focus was then shifted to the annual awards, with some nervous bodies awaiting the final count, as Tich took out the day’s honours; it was left to a countback between Tim and Red. Tim’s pitiful score of 16 points at the marquee event at Flinders was enough to swing it in his favour and take the dish home this season.

Similar scenario with the Player of the Year, with Bob donning the jacket, it meant that Ryan would remain in the box seat to take the trophy for the year.

Hundreds of prizes came his way including brollies, hats, Callaway shirts, gloves, lunch bags, Raybans, balls to name just a few.

A scorecard was then selected at random to give away a bonus prize of 2 ginger goldfish, ironically this went to Red.

Nearest the pins on the day went to Hubba (2nd),Deeks (8th), Clayton (13th), Hughesy (18th)

The handicappers would then make their last move of the season and cut Bob 4 shots from 32 to 28, unfortunately for Stewie the goal posts got shifted again and he was cut from 25 to 23 (for not winning).

Another great day to finish off the season, thanks to all the donations throughout the year and to all involved.

A massive thanks to Anne and the ladies, it just wouldn’t be the same.
